The Sacramento Dance Festival celebrates the region’s diverse movement cultures through a week-long celebration of contemporary performances. The festival seeks to create a more engaging environment that connects community members with Sacramento’s ever-growing dance scene. The scope of the festival campaign explores the design of a full brand identity and promotional materials flexible enough to translate from physical to digital platforms including event posters, billboards, banners, social campaigns, and various merch collateral.

DIVERSE, EXPRESSIVE, MOVEMENT
This concept focuses on exaggerative, expressive, motions of movement which is demonstrated with the dancer’s held silhouettes and graphic elements of splattered paint, intended to enhance the implied left to right motion.
The collage-like background gives the festival a crafted feel rather than a clean and polished look, being representative of the local diversity of cultural backgrounds among both performers and attendees, that will come together to share the same stage and space. My main goals for this campaign were to create a bold and vibrant concept that will convey the passion and authenticity of the Sacramento dance community.
